General Casualty
In 2006, Tech Info Systems assisted
General Casualty in creating a complex web application that helped independent
agents create insurance policies for their Commercial Business Auto product. The
application had a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and an innovative Business
Rule Engine to efficiently enforce complex insurance rules. Technologies used: ASP.NET,
C#, COM+, DB2, XML, Cruise Control, nAnt, nUnit.
Word 2003 XML Report Generation


In the summer of 2005, Tech Info Systems teamed up with Environ to create a state-of-the-art
report generation tool for the State of Wyoming. Microsoft Word documents
were created by merging Word 2003 XML templates with database data. Technologies
used: ASP.NET, C#, Word 2003, XML, XSD, SQL Server 2000.
SMTP Recipient Filter
Under a contract programming assignment for Cornerstone Computer Solutions,
Tech Info Systems created a Windows Service that intercepted emails passing through
the SMTP Service and validated recipients against either Active Directory or a whitelist
of email addresses in a database. Also created a Windows Forms administration utility
to manage the Windows Service. The entire software package was wrapped in a Windows
Installer package for easy one-click installation. Technologies used: C#, Windows
Services, Windows Forms, COM Interop, LDAP, Active Directory, SQL Server, Wise for
Windows 6.1.
RMT, Inc.

Roger Martin worked at
RMT, Inc. on-site as a consultant for four months in 2005 to architect and
build a complex data-driven web application that greatly improved compliance management.
Mentored colleagues in .Net technologies. Technologies used: ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server
2000, XSD, Telerik’s r.a.d. web controls, incremental iterative design methodology.
Town of Koshkonong, WI

Tech Info Systems donated a complete redesign of the Town of Koshkonong’s website
at
www.koshkonongwi.com. The website is a disciplined implementation of XHTML
Strict 1.0 and valid CSS, and probably has the most beautiful HTML Roger has ever
produced in terms of standards compliance and elegance. Go ahead and do a View Source

Walt Christensen for Assembly
In April, 2006, Roger implemented www.electwalt.org
based on the open source web application Community Server 2.0. This was not just
a default installation. Roger pulled the source code into Visual Studio 2005 and
created the custom features Walt needed within the framework of the existing code
base. He added PayPal integration, custom tabs and pages, and implemented a custom
web page to collect donor information for conformance to election laws.
Helix Technology Corporation

Roger worked full-time for
Helix Technology from 1995 to 2003. He created countless software solutions,
ranging from HP VEE apps that interacted with a Microsoft Access data store, to
a complex ASP timesheet web application, to a custom RMA software implementation
that greatly improved the handling of returned product. He spent more than a year
architecting a complex data conversion strategy to facilitate the company's upgrade
to the JD Edwards OneWorld Xe platform.

Gallery Server Pro is the flagship product of Tech Info Systems. It is a free,
powerful, and easy-to-use open source .NET web application that lets you share and
manage photos, video, audio, and other files over the web. Technologies used: C#,
ASP.NET, MSDE, SQL Server, HTTP Modules and Handlers, SharpZipLib, Design Patterns,
ComponentArt Web.UI for ASP.NET
