VW mods - Console storage basket
Margaret and I were shopping at Pier 1 one day,
and noticed this wicker basket. It fits almost perfectly just below the center console.
We store odds and ends in here - our cell phone coverage map, the NPR schedule,
pens, tire pressure gauge, a pocket calendar, a notepad, sunglasses, etc. Usually
it's those things we would store in a glove compartment if this van had one.
On the left side Margaret attached the pouch for our multitool. The last picture
shows this (for purposes of the picture the tool is leaning against the basket but
normally it's stored in the pouch.) Not only is a multitool a very handy thing to
have, this is an excellent location for one.
